US sees record COVID-19 hospitalisation of kids under 5 amid Omicron

Hospitalisations of children in the US under five with COVID-19 have risen in recent weeks to their highest level since the pandemic began, official data showed. Since mid-December, the hospitalisation rate in age group 0-5 has surged to over four in 1,00,000 children, up from 2.5 per 1,00,000.
